Emma-Jane Harding – Senior Physiotherapist

Emma-Jane has recently returned from two years practicing in Melbourne, Australia to begin an MSc degree in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College London.

 

 

In Melbourne, Emma-Jane worked along side specialist physiotherapists in shoulders, hips, headaches and migraine. She brings advanced diagnostic and treatment skills in the management of these areas to the Wimbledon clinic, having completed advanced level courses at Dean Watson’s Headache Institute and Lyn Watson’s Advanced Level Shoulder Courses in Melbourne.  Emma-Jane has close links with Hip Arthroscopy Australia and has completed their hip diagnostic and rehabilitation course.  She has a special interest in diagnosing hip pathology and has skills in pre and post operative hip rehab. She is undertaking a hip research project as part of her MSc in collaboration with the Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Epsom, UK.

 

 

Emma-Jane is skilled in managing injured workers and return to work after accidents or injuries which affect the ability to work.  She is experienced in communicating with employers, employees, other members of the medical team to facilitate early return to work after injury.

 

 

Emma-Jane uses a variety of manual techniques and specific exercise regimes in order to optimise recovery from injury and return to normal function.  She often uses intra-muscular stimulation or dry needling as an adjunct to hands on therapy and rehab.
